to my caity bug...

you are THREE years old today! i can't believe it. three years ago i was anticipating a trip to the hospital to bring home our first baby boy. seriously. i was convinced you were a boy!! we picked your 'boy' name out of bowl (cole or caleb...caleb won) a few minutes before we left for the hospital.

when i was ready to push...the doctor asked the names we picked out i said caleb or caitlyn. i was in shock when she said you have a caitlyn!! i was also so excited to be welcoming another girl in our home. my caitlyn. i've always wanted a caitlyn. it was on my 'name list' since i was a little girl...and now i had my caitlyn.

so you miss caitlyn michaela have blessed and surprised me since the second you were born. you're a go getter. with a bit of stubborn thrown in. and the sparkle in your eye gets me every time. you throw fits like no other too. :) we used to joke you sounded like a fire engine. no joke. but i'm so proud of the self control you've learned and the words you've gained to tell us what is bugging you.

i'll never forget taken you to the hospital at a mere five months old and the doctor telling me that you were to be admitted. otherwise you may peter out on us if we took you home. that was scary. but thankfully God saw us through all of that and it's just turned me into a more paranoid mommy. :)

you fit in so well with your older sisters. and you love your little babies so much. and you make a fantastic big sister to dustin and evaleigh. i love watching you say "hi ebaleigh" and know that all too soon you'll be pronouncing the "V" instead of a "B". your words amaze me. and it's fun to chat with you. and i love when you call us "goose-ies" when we're being silly.

your silly go getting attitude will take you far baby girl. but don't forget the one thing that leads you on your path. God. trust in Him. look to Him. and most of all follow Him. life is not promised to be easy, but life with God makes it a tiny bit easier. He loves you...even more than mommy and daddy...so that's a WHOLE LOT!!
