5 years.

happy birthday to my little man.

you're 5 years old today!

it's crazy to think that you entered this world 5 years ago with a little swirl at the top of your head.

you were our first son. and i'll admit...it was a bit intimidating!

 but you were a very easy little man.

the look of wonder and curiosity on your face always brought a smile to my face and joy to my heart.

your smile quickly stole my heart. and i know it will steal some special little girls heart some day, too.

the first year quickly flew by and we often wonder how we lived without a boy in our house!

my prayer is that your love for adventure and exploring never stops.

that you always place your trust in our awesome God.

that you always remember how much momma and daddy love you.

that you always find time to make people laugh.

that you continue to work hard.

 that you surround yourself with all the love and joy that Christ has to offer you.

and don't lose your love for tractors...or daddy's magazine.

that you find time to relax.

that you don't let what others think of you bother you. and that you live only to please the Lord.

 that you search out whatever it is that God wants for you and your life and you go for it with all you have.

that you always joyfully serve others...while serving the Lord first.

that you enjoy the simple things.

that you continue to be such an awesome big brother!!

you'll always be the first boy that turned our world upside down...in a very good way! and i can't wait to see what your future holds for you!!
