it's been awhile since i posted pictures of caitlyn and dustin. and when i looked on my computer i had to go back to a few weeks ago to find one of caitlyn!! yikes!! i need to take more pictures, or just not take so many during naptime. :0) so here's my caity-bug at monkey joe's the other week. getting ready to go up to go down the slide. and even though you can't see the love in her face...she LOVED IT there!!
and here's my little man dustin. who is turning into quite the little man. and i fully understand why people ask "how's it like having a boy?" now. it's not much different at birth, except he had something between his legs. but now i can see the difference in boys and girls. he's for sure ALL BOY!! and i'm loving it. he still is not walking at 15 months old. but his sister caitlyn didn't walk til almost 18 months and his older two sisters were about 14 1/2 months. so he's right on track as far as his siblings go. and i'll be honest...i really don't care if he's not walking yet. when he's five nobody is going to ask at what age he started walking. i don't 'get' the hype behind it! i'm fine with a crawler...he's much easier to catch...for now.
these are breigh's feet. it snowed a bit the other day and her and amelya wanted to shovel. so they did. and i must say that they did a great job. BUT there reason to shovel is what we had been talking about in school. that jesus is the light of the world, and we need to show his light. and they knew this would show daddy jesus' light because in breigh's words : "now daddy doesn't have so much to do." awww. i loved it!!
and here's amelya. i had to make the pictures black and white because it was getting dark out and the pictures turned out funny. but i love the color only parts. and if you look really close you can see her nose is pink!! too cute!! and yes she is shoveling in a dress. :0)
this week was unit 1:Ss Sun. and the words to remember this week were/are::
every week you make a badge for the kids to have and remember. so i made them each one and one for our 'board'. :0) my mom got me a big dry erase board from her work last year, they were just going to throw it out!! so it's our board for school. it works so great!!
i know this is a funny picture of my miss amelya...but i LOVE it. she was concentrating so hard on her math work. :0) ((in addition to my father's world we also added in singapore math for a math curriculum. mfw doesn't have a set curriculum for math for kindergarten, but i wanted amelya to have one, plus she love it!))
working hard on her math!!
breigh is joining in for school with us, but isn't doing a 'set' curriculum. i'm teaching her the basics and am not pushing her to do anything she doesn't want to. (she's only three and a half.) but i was so surprised to see how fast she's catching on and writing her letters. they aren't perfectly in the lines, but she's doing it!!
and she's so proud of herself!! i want to build them up and encourage them. and that smile on her face tells me i must be doing something right! i need to make sure i have more worksheets for her to practice next week though. she keeps wanting more work, and i don't have enough copied for her! i tell her to go play and she starts to cry because she wants to do school. so i've been giving her the lined paper to practice on and that has been satisfying her so far!!
i pray you were all encouraged by my post on monday. if you missed it i highly reccommend checking it out!! :0)
i have a doctor's appt today, so hard to believe i'm already 17 weeks!! i'm nervous for the scale though, i lost three pounds last time...but feel like i've gotten a big belly since then...so it'll be interesting to see what happened! either way...it's all good!! shaun has off this weekend...and i'm super stoked. we have no major plans...and that'll be nice for shaun, who's worked a ridiculous amount of hours this week.
but next weekend i'm super excited for already too. shaun was able to get his co-worker to work for him so we can go to a marriage conference called: laugh your way to a better marriage. i'm super excited for that! they share excerpts from the conference on the radio all the time and it's super funny! so i'm excited. it's friday night and saturday morning/afternoon...so we even get a night at a hotel out of the deal. ;0) a perfect valentine's day gift to each other.
i've babbled on awhile....so i'm going to let you go. have a great weekend friends!!
11 loving words from you.:
That first picture of Caitlyn is so cute...she looks just like you too! Dustin is getting so big...I'm sure he will be walking soon. And you are so right, a crawling baby is so much easier to catch then a running one:) Have a great weekend!
Awwwwwwwww, I love everything you've shared today.
That conference sounds awesome....right up my alley!

Yes, boys are definitely different than girls..lol!!!
I love that shot of his face!!!
And have fun at the marriage conference!!!!
I LOVED ALL of your pictures, but especially the one of Dustin and Ameyla concentrating. Dustin is getting so big!!! I get so inspired by the fact that you are doing homeschooling with your kids and that they have taken so well to it! :) Your girls are so smart! Every now and then I can get Ayden to sit down with me for a little while and work on stuff, but not for too big of chunks at a time and I suppose he gets it all day at school, why would he want to do extra with mommy. Hope you and the family have a nice relaxing weekend and you and Shaun a nice 'get away' next weekend! :)
Wow. Caitlyn looks JUST like you.
And that Dustin...cootie patootie.
Hope your Dr appt is magnificent today and you hear a strong, thump, thump, thump on the doppler.
Oh my word. Dustin is so cute. Great editing on that picture. Wow Caitlyn does look like her daddy! So cute. I love that they are doing so well with the homeschooling. hope your appointment goes well.
